The Role

 

We are currently looking for an experienced Surveyor to join our Mining team at Mt Holland. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and measuring all spatial data and control and preparing and updating all mine data sets and survey plans.

 

This is a permanent, full time position ex Perth to Mt Holland on an 8:6 roster.

 

Key Responsibilities 

•    Actively participate and contribute to Covalent Lithium’s health and safety culture. 
•    Provision of accurate survey control required for mine development and production. 
•    Provision of accurate grade control survey requirements.
•    Provision of monthly volume reports on material movements, stockpiles and heaps on an accurate and timely basis.
•    Liaising with engineering, maintenance, geology and production teams on general survey requirements.
•    Provision of accurate survey controls and measurement services for forthcoming site projects, including infrastructure and civil.
•    Assisting in maintaining the Survey databases to ensure recording and processing of Survey information. 
•    Providing comprehensive and timely contributions to the weekly, monthly and annual reports as required. 
•    Abilitiy to step in as Acting Senior Surveyor while the designated Senior Surveyor is on leave.
•    Responsible for using survey equipment supplied by Covalent which will include total stations, RTK GPS, laser scanners, unmanned aerial vehicles, specific high accuracy measuring equipment.
•    Measure and stake out mining areas as defined by the Mine Plans.
•    Compile spatial data to update maps and models of all operations across the Mine, Concentrator Plant, and infrastrature (buildings and offices).
•    Compile specific high accuracy measurements of critical structures across the Mine, Concentrator Plant and infrastructure to monitor deformation developments. 
•    Manage and export electronic design data to Fleet Management System database so that operators of HPGPS guided heavy machinery can follow the respective designs. 
•    Provision of spatial control for aerial, terrestrial, and UAV photogrammetry.

 

Role Requirements
•    Qualification:
o    Essential Qualification – Tertiary Degree or Diploma of Surveying
o    Desirable qualification – Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying or Advanced Diploma of Engineering and Mine Surveying
•    Remote Pilot License (RePL) – Multi-rotor < 25kg, VTOL desirable
•    Minimum of 2-year experience in a similar role.
•    Proficient with Trimble RTK GPS and Total Stations.
•    Advanced user in Surpac and Point Studio
