The Role
The Project Coordinator is responsible for the safe, coordinated execution of all construction tie ins and upgrades to the existing Stage 1 concentrator, including crushing, screening, and direct feed ore distribution (after the COS) and associated utilities and NPI facilities.
The role has a strong brownfields and shutdown execution focus, ensuring construction activities are meticulously planned, scheduled, and integrated within shutdown windows while minimising disruption to ongoing operations.
This is a Full-time two-year fixed term contract on a 4:3 roster ex Perth to our Mt Holland Site.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate concentrator and utilities upgrade tie-ins and brownfields construction activities during planned shutdowns.
• Lead shutdown planning activities, ensuring work packs, schedules, permits, isolations and resources are prepared and execution-ready.
• Manage day-to-day shutdown execution to deliver scope safely, on schedule and within operational constraints.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary contractors across active operational and brownfields environments.
• Act as the primary interface between Projects, Operations, Maintenance, Construction and Shutdown teams.
• Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, procedures, isolation requirements and commissioning plans.
• Identify and resolve construction, interface and operational challenges to minimise impacts to shutdown schedules.
• Support commissioning, equipment handover and return-to-service activities.
• Ensure quality requirements are achieved, including inspections, punch-list management and completion documentation.
• Promote a strong safety culture through risk assessments, hazard management and adherence to site safety standards.
• Capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement of shutdown and tie-in execution processes.
Role Requirements
• Degree or trade qualification in Engineering or Construction
• Hold Schedule 26 statutory supervisor competency
• Valid driver’s license
• Minimum 10–15 years brownfield construction experience in mining or heavy industrial environments
• Strong understanding of isolation management, shutdown execution, and permit systems
• Proven experience delivering brownfields tie ins within operating mineral processing facilities
• Demonstrated leadership during planned shutdowns and turnaround style work scopes
• Experience coordinating multi discipline contractors across shutdown environment
• FIFO or remote site experience strongly preferred.
