The Role


This position reporting to the Processing Manager, provides production expertise and support to the Processing Superintendents through production planning and coordination, work permit development and implementation, and Tailings Facility management. 


The Processing Coordinator will have a high level of problem-solving skills, excellent planning and time management ability, be attention to detail oriented, and can deal with ambiguity. An approachable communication style is also required in addition to a commitment to our core values of Care, Purpose, Collaboration and Accountability.


This is a permanent full-time back-to-back position on an 8:6 FIFO dayshift roster at our Mt Holland site.

 

 

Key Responsibilities 


•    Demonstrate commitment to safety and Covalent core values.
•    Support the Processing Superintendents and Supervisors with production planning and delivering support services as required.
•    Monitor execution and effectiveness of the production plans and planning process.
•    Liaise with the suppliers and customers to develop and successfully deliver production.
•    Work with Maintenance in the planning and execution of shutdowns, with a focus on the planning of rundowns and start-ups, and isolations and permits to work.
•    Support the Permit to Work & Isolation preparation, planning and implementation. Manage shutdown coordination, ensure consistency and serve as a single point of Permit to Work & Isolation accountability.
•    Champion continuous improvement and Management of Change processes.
•    Fill in for the Processing Superintendent role, when required.
•    Identify and enable production targets through planning, scheduling and implementing.
•    Contribute to the development of short and medium plans, monitor / assess performance and provide business analysis for the operation. 
•    Coordinate / support activities to achieve production, reliability and cost performance.
•    Facilitate the operation of Tailings Storage Facility and associated deposition / dewatering systems, including regulatory compliance.
•    Develop, review and improve standards, methods and procedures for Processing tasks.
•    Liaise with HSE team for regulatory and compliance audits
•    Assist in the development of budget / forecasting physical, cost models, personnel and capital justifications to accurately predict production and track related metrics.


Role Requirements


•    Certificate IV in Frontline Leadership
•    Valid driver’s license
•    First Aid certificate
•    >10 years in fixed plant processing, with >5 years supervisory / leadership experience.
•    Experience in hard rock lithium processing desired but not essential.
•    Processing knowledge and experience in crushing, screening, dense medium separation, milling, flotation, thickening, filtration circuits and wet tailings storage facilities.
•    Experience in commissioning and delivering operational improvement projects.
•    Demonstrated track record of problem solving and solution implementation in a multi-discipline team-based environment.
•    Demonstrated Permit to Work & Isolations involvement and competence.
•    Operating DCS control systems desired but not essential.
•    Excellent reasoning, verbal and written communication skills.
•    Ability to work in remote and/or arid environmental conditions Ability to work in remote and/or arid environmental conditions
