The role
We are currently looking for an experienced Plumber to join our NPI team at Mt Holland. You'll be responsible for for providing maintenance and support to our non-process infrastructure (NPI) essential facilities like camps, water systems, and fuel depots.
This is a full time, permanent position on an 8:6 roster ex Perth to Mt Holland.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake all work in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with statutory requirements and Covalent policies & procedures.
- Conduct plumbing works and emergency repairs on existing service pipelines.
- Understand and work to the AS3500 Plumbing Standards.
- Understand and work to the AS2845 Water Supply – Backflow Prevention Standards.
- Understand and work to the AS5601 Gas Installation Standards.
- Understand and work to the AS4575 Gas Appliance Servicing Standards.
- Maintain fixed NPI facilities and associated infrastructure.
- Carry out installation of new equipment or modification as directed to existing facilities and infrastructure.
- Monitor procedures and suggest changes or improvements to assist in identifying and developing work practices and methods that reduce the risk of injury, decrease costs and improve productivity
- Proactively monitor, measure and communicate downtime events which negatively impact site personnel, safety systems or the environment
Role requirements:
- WA Plumbing License (Cert III in Plumbing or higher)
- Gas fitting Licence (LPG)
- Backflow Prevention Certification
- Poly Welding Certification (butt and electrofusion)
- White Card
- WA Plumbing Contractors License (desirable)
- Experience with Wastewater Treatment Plants (desirable)
- Minimum 2 years’ post trade maintenance Plumbing experience (mining experience is desirable)
- Demonstrated understanding of building maintenance and infrastructure
- Ability and willingness to participate in an on-call roster, including after-hours availability.
