The Role
We are looking for an experienced Shutdown Planner to join our Planning team at Mt Holland. You will be responsible for effective shutdown planning of an approved shutdown scope that will enable the delivery of safe, optimal shutdown durations with consideration to resource levelling and utilisation.
Primarily this role will develop and communicate all planned and scheduled work using the SAP Work Management process within a shutdown environment. It will also support standardisation of best practice shutdown planning processes across Mt Holland in order to significantly improve shutdown execution predictability and reduce overall shutdown duration.
This is a permanent, full time position ex Perth to Mt Holland on an 8:6 roster.
Key Responsibilities
• Active participation in the establishment of a health and safety culture.
• Planning of agreed work in accordance with the SAP work management processes with the focus of delivering a
safe, resource and duration optimised shutdown. Ensure collaboration with the Fixed Plant Maintenance,
Shutdowns and Processing Production teams to agree on maintenance schedules.
• Planning of agreed work in accordance with the SAP work management processes with the focus of delivering a
safe, resource and duration optimised activity.
• Build and communicate accurate shutdown work orders reflecting all work management activities including but
not limited to:
o Shutdown and task preparation activities (pre shutdown)
o Plant rundown (Including cleaning, equipment preparation and location, work front isolations)
o Actual work effort activities (‘tool time’)
o Plant Commissioning activities (Equipment run up, setup and calibration, etc.)
• Ensure effective utilisation of available resources for work management by preparing a fully integrated
resource level schedule on time.
• Monitor and report progress as defined within shutdown framework and escalate any unplanned/scheduled and
non-routine activity or performance to the Superintendent Planning.

• Identify inefficiencies and work to remove such inefficiencies with the support of your line Manager.
Role Requirements
• Trade or equivalent industry and/or organisational experience preferred.
• Relevant trade qualification desirable
• Self-reliant contributor with distinctive proficiency in the Maintenance / Work Management Planning area and
a minimum work-related experience (> 5 years).
• Experience in detailed multitask Planning within recognised systems, supported by demonstrated capability in
resource identification with further consideration to various task interactions.
• Previous exposure to the mining and minerals processing industries in a similar role is preferable.
• Proven ability to influence and mentor others in HSEC principles and behaviours
• All required site statutory competencies as referenced in the site health and safety management system and/or
Covalent Framework.
• Valid Australian C class driver’s license
