The role
We are currently looking for two experienced electricians to join our NPI team at Mt Holland. You'll be responsible for following the relevant business processes for the identification, prioritisation and execution of corrective work, fault finding and fixing of breakdowns, reporting of all statutory electrical works, capturing all work order history and driving equipment reliability improvement to achieve the annual business objectives.
This is a full time, permanent position on an 8:6 roster ex Perth to Mt Holland.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe working environment where all work is undertaken in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with statutory requirements and Covalent policies & procedures.
- Completion of the daily and weekly NPI maintenance activities of the Accommodation Village, Water Treatment Plant, Wastewater Treatment Plant, Aerodrome, Fuel Facilities, Water Pipeline and other NPI equipment.
- Ensure statutory compliance through a clear understanding of all statutory work tasks and prioritising the completion and recording of statutory work.
- Strong understanding of both operations and maintenance strategies for large mine site NPI facilities.
- Contribute to work scopes for the NPI operations and maintenance activities considering technical requirements and resource constraints.
- QA/QC of work completed ensuring it was done to the desired standard to achieve the expected equipment reliability.
- Actively contribute to the performance of the NPI operations and maintenance functions against key performance indicators.
- Identify risks that have the capacity to compromise NPI performance outcomes and drive resolution of these issues to mitigate any impacts to desired outcomes.
- Look for opportunities for value creation across the NPI department by identifying continuous improvement in line with Operational Excellence.
- Be available for on-call duties outside normal working hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, on a rotating basis if / when required.
Role requirements:
- Electrical Trade qualifications.
- Current Electrical License.
- Electrical Nominee certificate (desirable - not essential)
- 3+ years in NPI operations and maintenance roles, including at least 1+ years in a mining environment.
- Previous experience in Accommodation village, Accommodation Village, Water Treatment Plant, Wastewater Treatment Plant, Aerodrome, Fuel Facilities, Water Pipeline and other NPI equipment.
- Understanding of reliability centred maintenance and preventative maintenance.
