The Role
Are you an experienced Senior Human Resources Business Partner looking for your next opportunity? Our team is looking for someone preferably with mining or resources experience to offer Senior HRBP services to our business.
This role will see you working closely with operational leaders at our Kwinana Refinery and develop strong partnerships that will enable you to assess and anticipate HR-related needs and support organisational efficiency. You’ll handle complex employee relations issues, be able to influence our leaders, manage change, develop and review People and Culture policy, and lead the implementation of strategic initiatives across Covalent.
This is a permanent, full time role based in our Kwinana head office with flexible working options available.
Key Responsibilities
- Active participation in the establishment of a health and safety culture.
- Provide Senior HR business partnering support and subject matter expertise to leaders of assigned departments throughout the employment lifecycle.
- Support organisational effectiveness by developing and implementing solutions aligned to Covalent Lithium’s strategic and operational plans;
- Lead and support managers through performance management issues, employee grievances, workplace disputes and coordinate investigations where required, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and company policies and procedures.
- Partner with managers and the Talent Acquisition team to support high quality Talent Attraction and Retention
- Development and implementation of human resources strategies, programs, policies, procedures and new HR initiatives
- Act as a trusted advisor and coach on workforce planning, change management, performance and engagement initiatives.
Role Requirements
- Relevant university degree in Human Resources Management and/or Industrial Relations, or equivalent.
- A minimum of 7 years’ generalist experience including both strategic and operational HR, preferably within the mining or resources sectors.
- Successfully worked collaboratively with senior leadership to support strategic business goals,
- A professional that connects easily with people and can build and maintain long-term relationships across all levels of an organisation.
- An inquisitive approach, seeking to understand key stakeholders within and across geographically dispersed teams, influencing where needed.
