Covalent Lithium is seeking a dynamic and driven Sales Officer to join our Commercial team in Kwinana. Reporting to the Manager - Sales & Logistics, this role is pivotal in supporting the sales strategy for our By-Products portfolio, building strong customer relationships, and contributing to the company’s vision and growth.

 

As a Sales Officer, you will:

 

•    Assist in developing and implementing a Sales Strategy for By-Products to achieve agreed sales targets in volume and price.
•    Build and maintain strong relationships with key global and domestic customers, ensuring a coordinated and customer-focused approach.
•    Identify and manage strategic sales opportunities to optimize business performance and deliver satisfactory returns.
•    Collaborate with the Commercial and Production teams to grow By-Product sales and align with business strategies.
•    Support logistics and regulatory processes for product delivery, ensuring compliance with agreed incoterms.
•    Provide customer feedback to the Production team to enhance product understanding and align supply chain strategies.
•    Contribute to sales budgets, forecasts, and marketing/pricing strategies to achieve financial and corporate goals.
•    Promote a strong safety culture, adhering to health, safety, environmental, and regulatory policies.

 

About You

 

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

 

Education: Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Engineering, Science, or Commerce (Nice to have but not essential)
Qualifications: Current Driver’s Licence.

Experience:

  • Experience in a B2B industry, ideally in chemical manufacturing or similar, is highly desirable but not essential.
     Proven sales and customer management experience with strong negotiation and commercial acumen.
  •  High-level communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  •  Demonstrated relationship management experience.

Skills:

  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Advanced computer literacy (SAP, MS Office, internet-based applications).
  • Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
  • Knowledge of logistics and international shipping is advantageous.
