The Role


As our Expeditor you will play a critical role in coordinating the logistics and transportation of materials to site within specified timeframes, ensuring the timely delivery of equipment and materials and the efficient flow of documentation. 


You will be accountable for expediting documentation, inspections, and the receipting of goods upon delivery to ensure that the required quality and quantity have been received and that all materials comply with specified requirements. You will liaise directly with vendors to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of goods to the appropriate locations.


This is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract based in our Perth office, with the potential for extension.

 

Key Responsibilities 
•    Coordinate the timely delivery of materials, equipment and documentation.
•    Maintain constant contact with vendors and shipping companies while deliveries are in route
•    Receive shipments of materials, and examining deliveries to ensure accurate quantities, quality, and specifications.
•    Monitor, track and report on Contractor progress against plans. 
•    Produce factual data for reporting on a daily, weekly and monthly basis as per requirements 
•    Ensure all communication including written communication of issues are clear and follows the Covalent Lithium escalation process 
•    Maintain oversight of Contractor progress of quality management activities
•    Monitor Contractor manufacturing schedules, documentation submittals, manufacture of critical equipment and deliveries of long lead material and equipment. 
•    Assist the Contractor Procurement team to execute the Project Commercial and Logistics Plan, identifying materials, managing risk and develop associated mitigation plans for each. 
•    Organise transport and freight of goods from external and internal suppliers.
•    Grow professional relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
•    Facilitate flow of materials between various departments and stakeholders.
•    Collaborate with Management to assess performance of suppliers and vendors, and to develop solutions for ongoing problems.
•    Integrate established guidelines, instructions, policies, and procedures to improve purchasing efficiency.

 

Role Requirements
•    Tertiary qualification in Commercial, IT or supply chain
•    National Police Clearance
•    A minimum of 7 years in a similar role in a Mining or Manufacturing industry.
•    Experience in ERP implementation, specifically SAP/ S4 Hana
•    Experience in end-to-end P2P processing
•    A good understanding of ERP systems
•    Proficient in Microsoft Packages including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Power BI
•    Familiarity with supply catalogue principles and applications
•    Experienced in providing analytical procurement reports 
•    Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills, coupled with a high level of professional judgement and discretion
