The Role
This role is responsible for leading a range of design and process improvement projects across the mine, concentrator, refinery, and non-process infrastructure.
You will manage projects from initial concept and design through to implementation and execution, ensuring all engineering scopes are delivered safely, on schedule, and within the approved budget.
This is a permanent, full-time position with a hybrid roster, working one week (5:2) at our Kwinana Refinery followed by one week (4:3) at our Mt Holland site.
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure full compliance with all health and safety, environmental and regulatory policies associated with the project and ensure a safe working environment at all times.
• Coordinate and deliver various asset and capital works projects while adhering to HSE, quality, schedule, and budget performance goals across all disciplines.
• Develop detailed scopes of work, assess tender submissions, and assist with the commercial award of packages.
• Ensure that project design comply with applicable Company specifications, legislations, and standards.
• Provide input into technical variations and clarifications raised by contractors.
• Perform routine monitoring of Contractor progress, including regular site visits / site supervision to determine actual versus planned performance and productivity.
• coordinate project execution strategies with operations and maintenance teams to execute scope during planned shutdown.
• Ensure that maximum mitigation measures are deployed, to prevent any unreasonable cost overruns and time delays.
• Provide timely and accurate project status updates to key stakeholders.
• Promote and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and performance.
• Contribute to budget planning and expenditure tracking.
• Pre-empt and mitigate risk across the Project as it relates to the works.
