The Role
This position will join the Despatch team and complete daily operational activities at the Kwinana Refinery, the role is essential in delivering superior production outcomes through the collaboration with the Process Operations teams.
You will handle incoming feedstock and outgoing commodities including Lithium Hydroxide (LiOH),Sodium Sulphate (SSA) and other intermediate products for customer or vehicle loads. Pack and load sea containers on site to ensure product is despatched safely and efficiently.
This is a permanent full-time, day-shift operational role on a 6:6 roster at our Kwinana Refinery, responsible for completing the loading and despatch of refinery products and front-end feed operations.
Key Responsibilities
• To provide a safe work environment, implement and deliver compliance with SHE&C plans, management systems and processes within the Refinery.
• Champion the permit to work (PTW) system within the despatch area of operations, co-ordinate with the process operations shift team for all PTW requirements.
• Hazard identification, reporting and rectification.
• Comply with all health and safety, environmental and regulatory policies of the operating plant and ensure a safe working environment.
• Operate and monitor control system to ensure production targets are met safely.
• Contribute to building team capability via coaching and personnel development.
• Obtain appropriate licences and or RPL (Forklift, Reach Stacker, Front End Loader).
• Developing operating methods and procedures in collaboration with the process operation teams related to Despatch, production and operational tasks.
• Assist with planned and emergency maintenance in coordination with the maintenance team and maintenance supervisors.
• Resolving short to medium term production issues associated with the
o Despatch operation (i.e. bagging, raw material and product movements, storage and despatch).
• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement projects.
• Reviewing and improving standards and safe operating procedures for all processing production/operational tasks, focus mainly on despatch activities but could include any process operational activity.
Role Requirements
• Certificate III in Process Plant Operations desired but not essential.
• Valid driver’s licence
• First Aid certificate
• High risk licence (desired)
• Front End Loader
• Confined Space Entry
• Working at Heights
• Previous commissioning experience would be highly desirable.
• Despatch knowledge of refinery processing including bagging knowledge, weigh bridge activities and high-risk vehicle use around loading heavy vehicles or shipping containers is desirable.
• Operating SCADA and DCS control systems desired but not essential.
