The Role


As a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer, you will be a key member of project engineering team, managing various design and process improvement projects across mine, concentrator, refinery and non-process infrastructure. 

You will be responsible from concept design to implementation and execution phase of project ensuring that engineering scopes are executed in accordance with shutdown schedule and within allocated budget.


These are Permanent full-time FIFO positions, ex Perth to our Mt Holland site on 4:3 rosters.

 


Key Responsibilities 
•    Deliver asset improvement and capital projects from concept and design through to execution, commissioning and close-out. 
•    Develop and manage project scopes, technical specifications, engineering deliverables and tender documentation. 
•    Ensure project designs and engineering deliverables comply with Company standards, statutory requirements and industry standards. 
•    Coordinate operations, maintenance, engineering and contractor teams to ensure safe and efficient project delivery, particularly during shutdowns and operational windows. 
•    Manage contractors, technical queries, design reviews, variations and engineering changes throughout the project lifecycle. 
•    Manage project budgets, schedules, risks and reporting, ensuring projects are delivered in line with approved requirements. 
•    Drive continuous improvement and lessons learned to enhance project delivery and operational outcomes. 
•    Senior Project Engineers: provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers and take greater ownership of project delivery and stakeholder management.

 

About you
•    Bachelor of Engineering qualification, Mechanical or Electrical. 
•    10+ years' engineering and project management experience in the resources industry, with 15+ years required for Senior Project Engineer level. 
•    Demonstrated experience delivering brownfield, asset improvement and capital projects. 
•    Strong capability across project scope, cost, schedule, risk and stakeholder management. 
•    Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working across multidisciplinary teams and contractor organisations. 
•    Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. 
•    Experience with contractor management, engineering governance, technical reporting, business cases and project controls. 
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management systems. 
•    Current Australian Driver's Licence.
